The Ultimate Summer Playlist for Your Next Cookout

The days are getting longer, the weather’s getting warmer, and you’ve got a hankering to break out your grill.

Before you toss on your I Like Pig Butts and I Cannot Lie apron, you’re going to need some great summertime songs. After all, nothing sets the mood better than the perfect summer playlist. That’s why we’ve curated one, just for you—because in case it wasn’t obvious, we’re kind of big on enjoyable auditory experiences.

Which reminds us: Before you hit play, make sure you can really enjoy our choices by checking out Eargo hearing aids. They’ll make sure you don’t miss a beat.

Now crank up the volume (but not too loud), dust off your best dance moves, and get your groove on to these sweet tunes.

Now that you’ve set the mood, let’s tackle everything else you’ll need to throw a perfect backyard barbecue.

1. Cookout Sides

Sure, a good slab of meat is the star of the show, but even the brightest stars need support. Enter: classic cookout sides. Think of your hunk of meat as Meryl Streep. Meryl Meat, if you will. Can Meryl Meat hold down the entirety of Pig Little Lies alone? No way. Meryl needs the support of a good potato salad, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread.

2. Lawn Games

Feeling inspired? Set up your own miniature golf course. If you want to keep things simple, go for the classics: lawn bowling, giant Jenga, and corn hole are always a good time. And if you want to keep things even simpler than that, you can always leave out a Frisbee and a couple of baseball mitts and balls. Have any kiddos coming? Pick up some colorful chalk and enjoy the creations they come up with. If the weather’s nice enough, pull out a slip and slide. The kids will love it––and some of your adult guests might, too!

3. Guest List

Last but definitely not least, you’ll need some great company. Send out invites to all of your favorite people, and maybe even some folks you’ve lost contact with but would love to see again. People are always happy for an excuse to get back in touch, and nothing beats going to a backyard barbecue.

To ensure you hear every conversation and joke with crystal clarity, check out Eargo, the tiny hearing aid that makes a big difference. After all, you don’t want to throw the perfect barbecue and miss out on half the fun.
