Some things just go together perfectly. Peanut butter and jelly, Fred and Ginger, and now, Eargo and the Hearing Health Foundation (HHF).

ChEARs to Our Hearing

Granted, our partnership doesn’t taste as good or look as graceful on the dance floor, but it’s actually a pretty huge, exciting deal. See, the HHF is all about preventing and curing hearing loss and tinnitus through groundbreaking research, as well as championing new innovations and treatments for people suffering from hearing loss.

And wouldn’t you know it, we’re kind of into the same things. So partnering together? Kind of a no-brainer.

We wanted officially celebrate our new partnership, so we tossed around a few ideas. There were plenty of votes for a good ol’ fashioned karaoke night, but we finally settled on the ChEARs to Our Hearing Facebook fundraising campaign, which raises funds for hearing loss research and awareness. And while you’re checking out the campaign, why not spend some time reading our new BFF’s blog post on our partnership?

Exciting stuff, right? If you’re feeling inspired to donate to our campaign, all you have to do is click below. And remember, every donation helps!

Now if you’d excuse us, we have some friendship bracelets to get started on…what colors do you think the HHF would like?

I received your sample of eargo, found they went in just fine, (regular) finding the pull cord was a little difficult. Re inserted not as far this time and is still a bit hard to find. However practice will improve in time. I’m skeptical about the ability to be any better than any other ones. I currently use Oticon Opn1 with great comfort and ease of use. However overall I’m not satisfied with there performance. These were over $5k thru Kaiser. I tried the cheaper model and really didn’t see much if any difference between the cheaper and these high end dollar ones. (Same Brand) Kaiser supports them cost free including periodic exams, reprogramming as needed, new cones, and filters as needed. They even constructed a customized ear cone from a mold of my ear canal free to see if I liked that better for a 3year period. (Excluding Batteries)
All this and a one time replacement per ear if lost or damage within the 3 yr. period, for $250. (I damaged one). Question for you would be to respond to all I have outlined above addressing each one with eragos support for the various items mentioned above. I still have about 6 months to go with my Opn1 hearing aids. I would like to try eargoe with the hope of better performance from them. Looking forward to you responses.
    Thank you in advance

    • Thank you for your comment, Martin. We’ve looped in your Personal Hearing Guide, who can help from hEAR at 1-800-734-7603.

  2. Will these work for people who have narrow ear canals? I have to buy my hearing aids based on the most narrow receiver that will fit my ears

    • While every human being is unique …it turns out the size of our ear canals is not. So Eargo’s patented, soft-as-silk (well, medical-grade silicone) Flexi Fibers and Palms come in two sizes: Regular and Large. Our Regular size is going to be the right fit for about 90% of ears out there. Have questions? We’re all ears at 1-800-734-7603.
